Simon Nyilassy is the Founder and CEO of Marigold & Associates Inc., a real estate development and advisory company specializing in the retirement home and student housing sectors. He also serves as the President and CEO of CHC Student Housing Corp., a TSX-V listed company, and is a Trustee of Minto Apartment REIT, a TSX listed trust, as well as a member of the investment committee of the Bentall Kennedy Prime Canadian fund, an over $5 billion real estate investment fund. He was the President and CEO and a Director of Regal Lifestyle Communities from 2012 to 2015, a TSX listed  retirement home company listed on the TSX, from 2012 to 2015. He was the President and CEO and a Trustee of Calloway REIT (now Smartcentres REIT, a TSX listed trust) from July 2005 until May 2011. Prior to joining Calloway, he was Executive Vice President Finance at SmartCentres, one of Canada’s largest retail real estate developers.

Simon has 35 years of experience in the real estate business, having previously worked in senior financial roles with a number of large public and private Canadian companies, including Markborough Properties, Dundee Realty, Bramalea Limited and CIBC World Markets.

Simon is Vice-Chair of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, is a Chartered Accountant, and has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Warwick.
